JAWS PostScript 3
The JAWS PostScript engine combined with the highly efficient Trafik implementation provides true rip- on- the- fly processing alongside the following functionality: -

Colour and Media Management that eradicate ALL the set- up hassles

Managing ICC profiles and media has been one of the most complicated aspects of colour printing for end users. Trafik, however, liberates all users by removing set- up from the end user and incorporating ICC profile definition in a separate Media Management Module based on Media Chains. Pre- configured Media Chains are supplied for a range of print medias and printers. A 'house' expert can set up customised Media Chains in an easy step- by- step process for additional media and ink combinations. Once established the Media Chain with its associated profiles can be published across the LAN or INTERNET to the Client Editor as a paper/ ink selection option that is simple to understand. Trafik incorporates the Heidelberg colour management engine and a linearisation curve generation module which includes support for a range of densitometers.

Templates that streamline production

Templates can be saved from any job set up and applied to other jobs requiring similar settings, so easing the task for inexperienced users or speeding the production of standard layouts. Templates also allow operators to archive special customer set- up requirements, which eliminates the need for re- work.

Tiling & Nesting take the effort out of planning

Trafik's Tiling and Nesting Module provides Auto and Manual Tiling that work with user- friendly measuring tools and a multi- level 'undo' feature. In- job and Admin Spooler nesting provide paper saving features for multi- page single documents and multiple jobs.

Archiving saves space, preserves print integrity and speeds turnaround

Job Archiving is a job compression format that preserves all original job settings so reprints are identical. Archiving ensures job repeatability from operator to operator. It also speeds turnaround times when sign- off authorisation is received.

Queue management that keeps work moving

There is no limit to the number of queues that can be administered via Trafik and each queue status is reported to the system administrator who can halt and re- arrange queues.
